The best part is that all four of those guys in white are actually in bands that perform in savannah all the time.

If you want to know what it's like to be on shrooms at a show in savannah, this is a pretty good facsimile.

Even though it's none of their music, this best captures them, more than any videos of seen of any of their individual stuff. aggh

Hey guys. Sorry for being out of touch. I've just gotten my computer back online here in Savannah.
I'm staying at Rin's house and he's up north. I visited Beth in Atlanta, and she drove down here.



We fooled around with cameras. She took more of me than I of her, I think.
Seeing her was lovely, as always, though it sounds like she's going through some rough spots.
It's good to have someone to lean on, though, and I know she'd be there for me too.
I haven't been posting much because trying to upload to my server isn't working.



I gave up and threw a few pictures up on flickr so beth could have them, at least.
I'm going by the package center to pick up a scanning tray that is supposed to improve the sharpness in my film scans.
Hopefully it will work well. Then scan scan scan scan scan.

I wonder why I want to capture, record, or recreate some moments while blatantly taking for granted many others.

I am standing in a doorway in my boxers, pants around my ankles, staring at a small book. It seems I have accidentally grabbed someone's "Games Zen Masters Play" instead of the book I was reading while on the toilet. Having shuffled down towards my guest bed from the bathroom before realizing this, I stare at it for a small amount of time, wondering if there might be any significance, or if I'd ever be able to understand it. Back to the bathroom, I place the book on the toilet whence it came, where it slides off into the trashcan. Retrieved, placed again. Back to the room, pants shaken off, retire.

God damn this root canal. I have to come back for three more appointments, giving me only two weeks to spend in savannah working on my negatives, of which I still have 720 to scan. I thought I would have 8 weeks to work on personal work, and instead I have two, and 5 weeks wasted sitting up in the cold without equipment or transportation, not to mention spending a lot of money to go up and down and not being able to get a job in savannah to work over christmas.

This is all because some kid thought it would be funny to kick me in the mouth when I was ten, chipping one of my front teeth, which eventually lead to me needing to get oral surgery. Gabe, I am so mad at 10 year old you right now.

I'm in Massachusetts, in case you were wondering. I get to have a root canal tomorrow!

I was bored and working on my Visual Bookshelf (lol, facebook, I know.) and I wrote this sentence and looked at it and realized what I had done: Murakami is a master of making mundane moments magical. Everything I write is a joke, a bad one.

Printimation

Here is an experiment I did today, it's a series of ten prints I did in the printmaking lab, animated using photoshop.

The music is really rough since sean and I haven't had a chance to work together and I had to edit his rough track using premier to fit it, but it's a step towards where it will be.

I shot it all with my 20d, so it's about 6500 still photos linked together. I almost got hit by a car and did fall into the river while shooting it.

I'm only posting this here because I was trying to leave it in myspace comments on a couple people's walls, but myspace changes the fucking links so you can't right click and save as, and the mov file will not stream right because it's 300mb.
