The first of the lighting work!

Here is a shot of the model before we started shooting or preparing or anything. I set up the lights before anything else, just turned them on without any really specific fiddling because we were shooting at night and had no real light otherwise. I saw this shot while he was talking to someone and made him stop for a second so I could take it. I love light. You'll soon see shots of my assistants and of a couple random onlookers who I pulled aside while my model's hair was getting done. Then you will see the final product. I hope you stick around!

The photo of the man sleeping was published on the upper right corner of the latest issue of district. This photo was published on the inside of the newspaper next to the article. I finally shot some things with lighting! You'll see a stream of photos starting tommorow.

This is more of a snapshot, of Carolin helping me out with a frame we just freed of a bad crappily made canvas and which I later used to put a better one on. Hoorah.

Some more clouds for my grandma.

I just updated entries for the last few days, so check out the frontpage if you haven't seen them. Here's an older shot of Rin, my good buddy whom I miss very much. I just had my first shift at Scad Radio as a DJ, and he kept me company over the official aim name.

I received news of a print of mine that has gone up in a Gallery Exhibition. It's called "Selects" and is hanging in the office of Senator Stan Rosenberg, State House, Room 320, Boston, MA. It will be up till October 31st, 2005. So if you are in the MA area, maybe you could check it out along with all the other great work up there. Here is the print that they chose:

Sorry for lack of updates. I've had tons of work in drawing and color theory, and painting and drawing are not my strong points. It's really hard for me. Anyway, I'm trying to make up for it now, at least with some less interesting snapshots (I miss the studio a lot).

Here is the shot they printed in the district article.

I was given an assignment from District, the SCAD newspaper. This is one of the shots I took for it.

Sunday, September 18, 2005

I was drawing this as my first assignment for a class. I don't want to show you the drawing, but you can see the subject, I guess.

A quick shot of David for his facebook. I'll probably be shooting everyone in this dorm at some point. I'd like to put more effort in, but at least people can recognize him now, right?

Made it!

I'm finally down in Savannah! Things are nuts, and I'm going to love it here. I shot a bit, but haven't had a chance to really sit down. Hopefully this will hold you over.

Back from NYC!

I just got back, and worked today as well before I even got home. So tired! I've got some film to develop and raw files to process. I'll be backdating entries for the past few days (one photo a day), and here is the photo for today (just making that midnight deadline for a non-backdated post). This one is from a certain big well known toy store in a certain well known spot in a certain well known city.

The One Line

Here's some more Black and White RAW processing tomfoolery, in the vein of that Running Man shot. This one is from the Bronx in NYC, near where I'm staying this weekend.

A shot from an event I was asked to shoot at, a bit back.

I'm going to New York City today till tuesday. I'll do my best to update if I can, but we'll see if it's possible. If not, I'll update for Friday-Monday when I get back. Have a good weekend, everyone!
