I edited to put my mother below the cut, as per her wishes.

Coley is back in Brooklyn. It was good to see him.
Because of my brief hospital trip, I didn't get to give him the prints I owe him,
but I'll send them up.

This is a shot from last winter. Probably about a year ago.
Cross processed, Mamiya 645afd medium format, 35mm wide angle.

I told you a couple days that we were going to the awards thing for the newspaper I work at.
Well, the official word is (on the streets, you know) that District got:

General Excellence - Third place
Best Campus Community Service for Features - Third place
Improvement - Third place
Best editorial or feature photograph - Third place
Layout and Design - Second place
and Dave Valeza received the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Impact award
for editorial cartooning.

Pretty sweet huh?

Oh, I left one out.

General Photography - First place

Pretty much the best any of the papers could do for photography. H'yeah!

So here's a picture of me looking like a happy little girl!

And some pics of us dorks dat made dat paper!

Why am I down so far? haha. I am not that short! hahaha. Really.

And some pics from matt's camera:

I AM IN UR GCPAS GETTING UR AWARDZ

reading some comics during some boring crap. You know how I roll.

Being happy as hell for some reason. I think I just told that what do you get when you squeeze a synagogue joke.
PS. Check the sweet Balthrop Alabama shirt. It just came that week. I love them guys.

A lot more people are involved in the making of district too, but that's a good mix of em.

Here's a strange picture of Adam from 2005.

Old film scan, shot with the mamiya, 35mm wide angle lens.

I've still got a whole bunch of these older shots to post.

Let this serve as a warning.

On your 21st birthday, have one friend who is going to stay sober.
Have him keep your other friends from doing a birthday shot with you.
Even if you have a small thing, random people will show up during the night.
I lost track after 10 shots. I don't even have many pictures from when I was sober.

I've got a whole lot of pictures from after I passed out though! They are sort of funny, actually.
My favorite thing is when someone took the camera to the apartment downstairs and took photos of Diego and Ashley and their cat. That's amazing. haha

Well, my mom is going to be pissed I posted this.
She wants me to keep this blog professional.
Sorry mom. I won't do it again.

I know you guys want to see the pictures though!

I ended up being really sick the next day. I hadn't eaten before drinking (dumb move number one) and
I don't remember anything after picture number nine. I was throwing up the whole next day,
couldn't keep anything down. I threw up a lot. I was shaking, sweating, and turning slightly blue. Everything hurt.
Around 6 the next night Zachariah and Neil took me to the hospital.

We waited for a while, and when we finally got in, they gave me two bags of saline solution,
and an anti nausea drug. Beth came around that point and Zachariah and Neil went home.
I felt a little better and was able to eat two fries and a chicken nugget.
I was able to eat more that night, and have been able to eat today,
although my throat is very very sore, I feel very week, and I'm pretty out of it in general.

Anyway, I hope I didn't worry anyone. I guess most people do this once in their life. My dad was angry (and concerned) at first,
but then later told me when he was 14 him and a friend drank a whole bottle of vodka and he puked the whole next day.

It's hard to even think about alcohol right now.

Anyway, you can see the two full albums on facebook
